Buying from local producers and suppliers is not a new thing for The Chester Hotel.
We’re proud of our commitment to support local and our restaurant suppliers include:
We lose count of the number of Katy’s Eggs we buy from this independent family run business and we use each and every day. Katy’s eggs come from free range hens who live their lives in rural Torphins.
Our fish is landed into Peterhead and arrives with us as fresh and possible. Our asapargus comes from Eassie Farm by Glamis and coffee from Caber Coffee.
Castleton Farm is another one of our favourite family-run, local businesses based at Fourdon by Laurencekirk. They provide our premium quality, hand picked strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and cherries. In 2021 they picked and packed 8.5 million punnets of fruit.
United Supplies in Aberdeen and WoodWinters in Bridge of Allen supply many of our wines and spirits. Wood Winters has a particular interest in organic wines produced in harmony with nature by winemakers they know by name.
Our bedroom toiletries are made lovingly by Gordon Castle – another family owned and independent business, just like us. Well, we say like us … like us but with greener fingers!
Your soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion all contain pure natural essential oils from the plants and flowers grown in the garden. There’s no palm oil, parabens or petrochemicals and no artificial fragrance, colour nor glycols. None are tested on animals.
The herbs and flowers grown in their garden, which is one of the oldest and largest productive walled gardens in the UK, are used to fragrance the products.
All of our printing us done by the wonderful chaps at Repro Overflow.
