New surroundings, the same amazing events experience

Big is beautiful – and we have the ballroom to prove it! After four months of renovations, we have reopened the doors on what is now one of the biggest hotel event spaces in the north east of Scotland.

The Granite Suite has returned bigger, better and more beautiful than before, with scope to host even more lovely guests. Organising a gala dinner? Then you can invite 340 people to dine with you. Planning your nuptials? There’s room for 320 of your nearest and dearest. How about a conference? A staggering 400 delegates can now network and mingle.

It seems like an eternity since we said goodbye to our old ballroom at the end of 2018 and, even though we have watched the transformation take place through the snow of winter and the first blooms of spring, the big reveal even took us by surprise.

The new Granite Suite is truly stunning. Although it offers an incredible amount of space, it doesn’t feel cavernous or overbearing. The ballroom still has the same kind of intimacy that it always has, and the light continues to pour in through the floor to ceiling windows.

We know, however, that size matters – and not just at the top end of the scale. The ballroom continues to be a multi-functional space and we can configure it to suit events of all sizes. That means the Granite Suite is just as well suited as a venue for a team meeting as it is to an all-staff celebration – and everything in between.

The great thing about the space is that it’s so neutral. No matter what colour scheme you have in mind for your event, the light, airy tones of the room will ensure that your theme looks great. We even have our own state-of-the-art lighting which can complement it!

Those of you who have visited the Granite Suite in the past will know that two of the key benefits are its own entrance away from the front of the hotel, and the fact that it has its own private bar. You‘ll be delighted to know that we have retained – and improved – these features.
